Is this genuine leather?

Yes. Each cover is crazy-horse cowhide that develops a unique patina with use. Embossing, charms, and refill inserts can be added at checkout.

Are inserts interchangeable between sizes?

Refills and accessories are interchangeable within the same size (A5, A6, or A7). Every journal uses the same 6-ring loose-leaf mechanism.

How do shipping and returns work?

We ship worldwide with tracking. Personalized journals are made to order; defect and transit-damage claims can be reported within 7 days of delivery with photos.

Personalisation

Cover Graphic & Text

Add an optional cover graphic and short cover text. We emboss your design into the leather at the bottom-right corner — a permanent mark that softens into the patina over time.

Choose a simple logo, icon or line illustration. Clean, high-contrast artwork embosses most clearly on crazy-horse leather.
Step 2
Add cover text
Enter a name, date or short phrase — up to 40 characters. It sits with your graphic in the bottom-right corner of the cover.
Step 3
We emboss by hand
Your file is reviewed, then pressed into the leather. Each finish develops its own depth as the cover ages with you.

Material & Care

Crazy-Horse Leather

Our covers are cut from top-grain crazy-horse cowhide — oil-waxed leather that softens with every journey and develops a personal, living patina.

What is crazy-horse leather?

Crazy-horse leather is top-grain cowhide finished with natural oils and wax. Rubbing or flexing the surface lifts the wax and reveals a lighter undertone — the signature pull-up effect. The result feels smooth, richly textured, and unmistakably genuine.

Top-grain, never split

We use only the outer grain of the hide, keeping the natural pores and fibrous structure intact. Split or reconstituted leather is pressed from scraps and coatings — it may resist tearing, but it will never age with the same depth or character as true top-grain.

A natural leather scent

Fresh top-grain cowhide carries a gentle natural aroma that softens over time. Air the journal in a ventilated space, or place dried tea leaves or a charcoal sachet inside overnight if you prefer it to fade faster.

Natural color variation

No two hides are identical. Slight shifts in tone are a mark of genuine leather, and studio lighting or screens may show the color a little differently from what you receive.
